鄭司諫知常詩云。雨歇長堤草色多。送君南浦動悲歌。大同江水何時盡。別淚年年添作波。燕南梁載嘗寫此詩作。別淚年年漲綠波。余謂作漲二字皆未圓。當是添綠波耳。鄭又有地應碧落不多遠。人與白雲相對閒。浮雲流水客到寺。紅葉蒼苔僧閉門。綠楊閉戶八九屋。明月捲簾三兩人。上磨星斗屋三角。半出虛空樓一間。石頭松老一片月。天末雲低千點山等句。是家喜用此律。

Korean Translation

사간 정지상은 이런 시를 지었다. 비 갠 뒤 긴 둑에 풀빛 푸른데, 임 보내는 남포 나루에서 슬픈 노래 부른다. 대동강물 어느때나 마를꼬? 해마다 이별의 눈물 푸른 파도에 더해만 가니. 연남 사람 양재가 일찍이 이 시를 베끼기를, “별루년년창록파”라고 하였다. 내 생각에 작과 창 두 자는 모두 그 뜻이 원만하지 않다. 마땅히 이것은 “첨록파”라고 해야 할 것이다. 정지상은 또 이런 시를 지었다. 땅이 푸른 하늘과 닿은 곳 멀지 않은데, 사람과 흰 구름이 한가롭게 마주 대하네. 뜬구름 흐르는 물 같은 나그네 절에 이르니, 빨간 잎 푸른 이끼낀 절의 중은 문을 닫는다. 푸른 버들 아래 문닫은 집 여덟 아홉 채, 밝은 달 가운데 발을 걷은 서너 사람. 위로 북두에 닿을 듯 삼각형 지붕, 허공에 높이 솟은 한 칸의 누대. 돌 위의 늙은 소나무에 한조각 달이 걸렸고, 하늘 끝 낮은 구름 밑에 천점 산이 있네. 이 시인은 이 같은 시를 즐겨 썼다.

English Translation

Second Censor (sagan) Chŏng Chisang wrote, When the rain stops, the long riverbanks turn luxuriantly green. Seeing you off at Namp’o moves me to sing sad tunes. The waters of the Taedong River, when will you run dry? Tears at parting year after year add to rising breakers. In transcribing this poem, Yang Chae 梁載 (14th century) from Yannan wrote, Tears at parting year after year build the blue breakers In my opinion, neither “rising” nor “swell” is satisfactory, and only “add more blue breakers” 添綠波 will suffice. Chŏng also wrote lines such as, 地應碧落不多遠人與白雲相對閑 The land responds to the blue sky, not too far apart from each other. People and white clouds face each other at ease. 浮雲流水客到寺紅葉蒼苔僧閉門 Drifting clouds and running streams, a traveler arrives at a temple. Red leaves and green mosses, the monk shuts the gate. 綠楊閉戶八九屋明月卷簾三四人 Green willows and closed gates, eight or nine houses. A bright moon, rolled up curtains, two or three people. 上磨星斗屋三角半出虛空樓一間 Touching the Big Dipper, a triangle rooftop. Appearing in mid-air, a single tower. 石頭松老一片月天末雲低千點山 At the edge of a rock, a pine ages under a crescent moon. At the sky’s end, clouds descend on a thousand crags below. Poets like to use such meters (yul).
