金末詩人楊飛卿題紅樹云。

海霞不雨棲林表。
野燒無風到樹頭。

李文眞公藏用亦云。

廢院瞞盱秋思苦。
淺山搪突夕陽明。

飛卿老膝不得不屈。

금나라 말엽에 시인 양비경이 단풍을 읊은 시는 이렇다.

바다 놀 비도 오지 않는데 수풀가에 깃들고,
들불 바람도 안 부는데 나무 끝에 올랐네.

문진공 이장용도 또한 이런 시를 지었다.

황폐한 절간 쓸쓸하여 가을 생각 괴롭고,
얕은 산 두드러져 석양녘에 분명하다.

이 시를 보면 양비경이 늙은 무릎을 꿇지 않을 수 없을 것이다.

The poet Yang Yunpeng 楊雲鵬 (13th century; sobriquet Feiqing [Flying Minister]) of late Jin wrote a poem titled “Red Trees” 題紅樹, which reads,

Rosy ocean clouds do not bring rain and hover above the woods.
A wildfire without wind reaches the treetop.

Yi Changyong 李藏用 (1201–1272; posthumous sobriquet Munjin [Literary Truth]) also wrote,

The desolate courtyard is in and out of view. Autumn thoughts are bitter.
Stumbling upon a low hill, the sunset is radiant.

I bet Yang would bow the knees to this.
