有白大鵬者。亦能詩。嘗爲司錀。一時渠之儕類皆效之。其詩學郊島。枯淡而萎。故汝章每見人學晩唐者。必曰司鑰體也。蓋嘲其弱焉。

Korean Translation
백대붕(白大鵬)이라는 자가 있어 또한 시에 능했다. 일찍이 문지기를 했는데, 그의 동류(同類)들이 모두 그를 본받았다. 그의 시는 맹교(孟郊)와 가도(賈島)를 배워 고담(枯淡)하고 연약했다. 까닭에 권여장은 만당(晩唐)을 배우는 사람을 볼 때마다 반드시 문지기체라고 일컬었으니 대개 그 연약함을 조롱하는 말이었다.

English Translation

Paek Taebung 白大鵬 (d. 1592) was also good at poetry. He was once a Keeper of the Palace Keys (sayak), and the people of his class all imitated him. His poetry followed the style of Meng Jiao and Jia Dao, and hence was dry, simple, (kodam) and weak (wi). Because of this, whenever Kwŏn P’il saw people imitating late Tang poetry, he would say, “That is the style (ch’e) of the Key Keeper,” to mock his feebleness (yak).
