In late years, Sim Ŏn’gwang 沈彦光 (1487–1540; sobriquet Ŏch’on [Fishing Village]) had a rift with Kim Allo. When he was appointed a governor (kwanch’alsa) of a northern province, he wrote a poem, which said, I wish to cross a great river but I have no boat. A wintry tree is withering yet on it plants are growing. Perhaps a feeling of remorse sprouted in him.
