| 羅長吟湜有詩趣。往往逼盛唐。申，鄭諸老會于人家。方詠蒲桃畫簇。沈吟未就。長吟乘醉而至。奪筆欲書簇上。主人欲止之。湖老曰。置之。長吟作二絶。其一曰。老猿失其群。落日枯楂上。兀坐首不回。想听千峯響。湖老大加稱賞。因閣筆不賦。蓀谷亦云此盛唐伊州歌法。所謂截一句不得成篇者也 |

| 장음정(長吟亭) 나식(羅湜)의 시는 시취(詩趣)가 있어 이따금 성당시(盛唐詩)에 접근하고 있다. 신광한과 정사룡 등 노대가들이 어느 집에 모여 바야흐로 포도(蒲桃) 그림 족자를 놓고 시를 읊으려 하는데 생각에 잠겨 미처 이루지 못하고 있었다. 장음이 술에 취해 와서는 붓을 빼앗아 들고 족자 위에 쓰려 했다. 주인이 말리려 하자 호음이 그냥 두라고 하니, 장음은 절구 두 수를 지었는데 그 하나에
늙은 원숭이 무리를 잃고 / 老猿失其群 지는 해는 마른 등걸 위에 비치네 / 落日枯楂上 우뚝 앉아 고개도 아니 돌리니 / 兀坐首不回 아마도 천산의 메아리 듣는 거지 / 想聽千峯響 라 하였다. 호음이 크게 칭찬하고는 붓을 놓아버리고 짓지 않았다. 손곡(蓀谷 이달(李達)의 호)도 다음과 같이 말했다. “이는 성당 이주가(伊州歌)의 법이니 이른바 한 구절이라도 끊어 놓으면 시편을 이룰 수가 없다는 것이다.” |

| Na Sik’s poetry had poetic charm (sich’wi) and at times got close to High Tang poetry. Sin Kwanghan, Chŏng Saryong and other elders had a gathering at someone’s house. Just when they were working on a poem for a scroll painting of grapes and could not complete it after a long pondering, Na Sik arrived intoxicated. He grabbed a brush and wanted to write on it. When the host wished to stop him, Chŏng said, “Let him.” Na composed two quatrains, and the first one said, 老猿失其群落日枯楂上兀坐首不回想聽千峯響 An old gibbon lost his troop.The sun sets above the dry hawthorn tree.It sits upright and does not turn its head,wishing to listen to the echo in a thousand peaks. Chŏng greatly praised him and put his brush down and did not write. Yi Tal also said, “He followed the method in the High Tang poem “The Song of Yizhou” 伊州歌, that is, the poem will not be complete when you remove a line.” |
