| 임진년(1592, 선조25) 6월 28일은 명종(明宗)의 기일(忌日)이라 신제이(申濟而 제이는 신노(申櫓)의 자) 가 곡구역(谷口驛)에서 시를 쓰기를
선왕께서 이 날에 군신을 버리실 적 / 先王此日棄群臣 유언은 은근히 성인에게 부탁했네 / 末命慇懃托聖人 스물이라 여섯 해에 향불이 끊어지니 / 二十六年香火絶 소리쳐 우는 사람 늙은 유민(遺民)뿐이로세 / 白頭號哭只民遺 라 하니, 보는 자가 모두 눈물을 흘렸다고 한다. |

| The twenty-sixth day of the sixth month in the year of imjin (1592) was the anniversary of King Myŏngjong’s death. Sin Ro 申櫓 (1546–1593; styled Chei), therefore, wrote a poem at Kokku station, 先王此日棄群臣末命慇懃托聖人二十六年香火絶白頭號哭只遺民 On this day, the late king left his officials.His sincere will was entrusted to the sages. Twenty-six years ago, the incense was extinguished.Weeping aloud in white hairare only those he left behind. Everyone who read it shed tears. |
