| 思庵相捐舍。輓歌殆數百篇。獨成牛溪一絶爲絶倡。其詩曰。世外雲山深復深。溪邊草屋已難尋。拜鵑窩上三更月。應照先生一片心。無限感傷之意。不露言表。非相知之深。則焉有是作乎。 |

| 사암(思庵 박순(朴淳)의 호) 정승이 돌아가자 만가(輓歌)가 거의 수백 편이나 되었는데 오직 성우계(成牛溪 우계는 성혼(成渾)의 호)의 한 절구(絶句)가 절창이었다. 그 시에
세상 밖에 운산이 깊고 또 깊으니 / 世外雲山深復深 시냇가에 초가집은 이미 찾기 어려워라 / 溪邊草屋已難尋 배견와(拜鵑窩)위에 뜬 삼경의 달빛은 / 拜鵑窩上三更月 아마도 선생의 일편단심 비추리라 / 應照先生一片心 고 하였는데, 무한한 감상(感傷)이 말의 표면에는 드러나지 않으니 서로 간에 깊이 아는 사이가 아니라면 어찌 이런 작품이 있겠는가? |

| When Minister Pak Sun passed away, hundreds of eulogy poems were dedicated to him. But only one quatrain by Sŏng Hon reached the highest level of poetic perfection (chŏlch’ang). His poem reads, 世外雲山深復深溪邊草屋已難尋拜鵑窩上三更月應照先生一片心 Beyond the world, cloud-covered mountains lie deep and deep.A thatched hut by a creek is already hard to find.Above Visit Cuckoo Nest, the midnight moon must illuminate the master’s unchanging heart.The expression of boundless grief is not overly revealed (pullo) in the words.
