楊蓬萊游楓岳。刻詩石上曰。白玉京蓬萊島。浩浩煙波古。煕煕風日好。碧桃花下閑來往。笙鶴一聲天地老。有游仙之興。同時有宋暻者。庶子也。亦續之曰。鶴軒昂。鳳逶遲。三山朝下。五雲中飛。乾坤三尺杖。身世六銖衣。好掛長劍巖頭樹。手弄淸泉茹紫芝。蓬萊極加奬詡。亡兄喜稱之。

Korean Translation

양봉래(楊蓬萊 양사언(楊士彦)의 호)가 풍악(楓岳)에서 놀 제 돌 위에 시를 새겨 백옥경과 / 白玉京 봉래섬엔 / 蓬萊島 아득할손 연파는 예스럽고 / 浩浩煙波古 따스할손 풍일(風日)은 좋을씨고 / 熙熙風日好 푸른 복사꽃 아래 한가로이 오가며 / 碧桃花下閑來往 학 등의 피리 소리 천지는 늙어가네 / 笙鶴一聲天地老 라 했으니 신선의 흥취가 있다. 같은 때에 송경(宋暻)이라는 자가 있었으니 서자(庶子)였다. 그 또한 이 시에 이어 읊기를 학은 높이 날아오르고 / 鶴軒昂 봉은 휘적이며 / 鳳逶遲 삼신산 아래로 굽어보고 / 三山朝下 오색구름 가운데를 질러 나네 / 五雲中飛 천지는 석 자의 지팡이라면 / 乾坤三尺杖 신세는 한 벌의 육수의로세 / 身世六銖衣 바위 꼭지 나무에 긴 칼 좋이 걸어두고 / 好掛長劍巖頭樹 맑은 샘 희롱하며 붉은 지초(芝草) 캐먹노라 / 手弄淸泉茹紫芝 고 하니, 봉래가 극도의 찬사를 보내고 돌아가신 형도 기꺼이 칭찬하였다.

English Translation

When Yang Saŏn visited the Diamond Mountains, he carved a poem on a rock which said, 白玉京蓬萊島浩浩煙波古熙熙風日好碧桃花下閑來往笙鶴一聲天地老 White Jade Capital.Penglai Island.Boundless. Ancient misty waters.Soothing. Fine breeze and sunshine.Under the immortal peach blossoms, idly coming and going.At the sound of reed pipe and crane, Heaven and Earth grow old. The poem has the charm (hŭng) of immortals’ world. At that time, a sŏja by the name of Song Kyŏng 宋暻 (16th century) added to the poem and wrote, 鶴軒昂鳳逶遲三山朝下五雲中飛乾坤三尺杖身世六銖衣好掛長劍巖頭樹手弄淸泉茹紫芝 The crane soars high.The phoenix meanders low.Looking down on the Three Immortal Mountains,amid the five-colored clouds they fly.Heaven and Earth are my three-foot staff.The world is my six-zhu robe. A long sword hangs on a tree at the cliff’s edge.With hands I fondle the clear fountain and eat purple mushrooms. Yang awarded the poem with an extreme praise, and my late brother also praised it fondly.
