| 先大夫嘗言尹長源之才不可及每稱。其海闊孤舟千里夢。月明長笛數聲秋。及。交風吹杏打重門之句。以爲淸切逼古。 |

| 선친(先親)께서는 늘,
“윤장원(尹長源)의 재주는 따를 수 없다.” 고 말씀하시며, 그의 넓은 바다 쪽배 위에 꿈은 천리 떠도는데 / 海闊孤舟千里夢 두어 가락 젓대 소리 달 밝은 가을이다 / 月明長笛數聲秋 한 것과, 맞바람이 살구에 불어 중문을 때리네 / 交風吹杏打重門 라는 시구를 매양 칭송하면서 청절(淸切)하여 고시(古詩)에 핍진하다고 하셨다. |

| My late father often said, “Yun Kyŏl’s talent cannot be matched.” He always praised Yun’s phrases, 海闊孤舟千里夢月明長笛數聲秋 Boundless sea, a lonely boat drifts a thousand li in dream.Bright moon, a long flute sings of autumn in a few tunes. and, 交風吹杏打重門 Apricot petals wafting in swirling winds beat on the double gates. and said they are clear and direct (ch’ŏngjŏl), very much like ancient poems (p’ipko). |
