Chief Minister Yi Chun’gyŏng 李浚慶 (1499–1572) was promoted to important offices at old age. When he became Second State Councilor (chwaŭijŏng), he faced oppositions. After his death, people did not stop praising him. Minister (p’ansŏ) O Sang’s eulogy poem said, 功在宗枋澤在民能全終始獨斯人不待十年公議定鎊言何累地中身 His achievements are on the ancestral plaque, his beneficence with the people. From start to finish, he alone was able to be faultless. In less than ten years, justice has won. What is the use of heaping praises on the man in the grave? To this day, when discussing the legacy of chief minister, he is chosen as the best state councilor. O’s words are true.
