Original Text

English Translation
A poem by Yi Ŏnjŏk said, Myriad things change without fixed forms. I drift alone idly following the natural course of time. Through years I have slowly learned how to tend my strength.I face the green mountain for long, not writing a poem. The expression and meaning (ŏŭi) are very lofty (ko), which cannot be attained by someone who writes poems casually. In due time, myriad things all rejoice in themselves.Living my lot, I also have no worries. I wait to obtain a clear spirit and a true vitality in peace.I still have by my side a king like Tang and Yu. Reading these we can understand the master’s level of cultivation.
