Cho Sik’s poem reads, 捫虱何須談世事談山談水亦多談 Brutishly, why must we talk about worldly affairs?Just talking about mountains and rivers,there is more than enough to talk about. Sŏng Un’s poem reads, 逢人不喜談山事山事談來亦忤人 Meeting a person, I do not like to talk about mountainly affairs. For after talking about mountainly affairs, they still dislike people. Sŏng’s has a loftier (ko) expression and meaning (ŏŭi). |
