It has been said that when Sin Sukchu was on a northern expedition as a military commander, he was deep in the enemy territory. When the enemy staged a night attack, there was clamor in the camp. Sin remained in bed and did not move. Calling his assistants, he opened his mouth and said, Frosts fall over the enemy land, and the frontier is cold.Horses in armor gallop far and wide within a hundred-mile distance. The night battle has not ended, and the day is about to break.I lie down and watch the Big Dipper right above the balustrade. It is said seeing Sin at ease, the generals tried to appear undisturbed. I said, “It is not that Sin was not unable to move. The poem came from what they call ‘restraining emotion to calm the situation,’ and that is what is moving (tong) about the poem.”
