| Kang Hon’s poem “Tongnae’s Chŏngbyŏn Tower” 東萊靜邊樓 reads, 對馬靑山孤雁外扶桑紅日霱雲端 The green mountain facing the horse lies beyond the solitary goose.The red sun above the Fusang tree is at the edge of colorful clouds.He also wrote, 紫燕交飛風拂柳靑蛙亂叫雨昏山 Purple swallows glide in pair.A breeze sways the willows.Green frogs croak loudly. A rain dims the mountains.Sŏ Kŏjŏng’s poem “The East Terrace in Wi Mountain” 蔚山東軒 said, 樓敵岳陽天下一地鄰蓬島海中三 Your tower, rivaling the one in Yueyang, is the best in the world.Your land neighbors Penglai Island, is one of the three sacred mountains in the sea.An Ch’im’s poem “Autumn Moon Terrace” 秋月軒 reads, 搖波散作東坡百對影真成李白三 Undulating ripples scatter and become one hundred Su Shi.Before the shadow, there truly are three Li Bai.These were considered excellent (ka) verses in the world. |
