李正郎大海。有馬癖。又畜一娼。沈惑成病。至壬申。年三十一不起。臨絶作詩曰。六龍西幸隔風塵。一病沈錦度幾春。馬似遊龍姬似玉。不知零落屬誰家。將死。猶眷眷尤物。何也

English Translation
Section Chief (chŏngnang) Yi Taehae 李大海 (16th century) had an obsession for horses. He also loved a singer, and his deep infatuation eventually made him ill. In the imsin year (1572), at age thirty-one, he succumbed to illness. A poetic masterpiece (chŏlchak) he wrote before death reads, 六龍西幸隔風塵一病沈綿度幾春馬似游龍姬似玉不知零落屬誰人 I’ve traveled west on an imperial carriage away from the dusty wind.Then falling ill, covered in blanket, I spent several years.My horse like a roaming dragon, and my singing girl like jade,I don’t know when I die, who they will belong to.He was about to die yet still was reluctant to part from his treasured things. What for?
