賤唱醉仙。號雪竹。有詩曰。春粧催罷倚焦桐。珠箔輕明日上紅。香霧夜多朝露重。海棠花泣小墻東。又。洞天如水月蒼蒼。樹葉蕭蕭夜有霜。十二緗簾人獨宿。玉屛還羨畵䲮鴦

Kisaeng Ch’wisŏn 翠仙 (16th century), whose sobriquet was Sŏlchuk (Snow Bamboo), wrote a poem, 春妝催罷倚焦桐竹箔輕明日上紅香霧夜多朝露重海棠花泣小牆東 Finishing a spring makeup in haste, I lean by the zither.A bamboo screen gently illumesas the rising sun turns red.Fragrant mists are dense at night. Morning dews are heavy.Sweet brier blossoms weep on the east side of the fence. Also, 洞天如水月蒼蒼樹葉蕭蕭夜有霜十二湘簾人獨宿玉屏還羨畫鴛鴦 In the grotto-heavens like water, the moon glows pale, so pale. Tree leaves rustle—swish, swoosh— as the frost falls in the night.Behind the curtain with twelve bead strings, she spends the night aloneand envies the painted mandarin ducks on the screen with jade ornaments.
