| 양창해(楊滄海) 선생의 경구에,
바다가 하늘을 머금어 가 다하고 / 海銜天去盡 산이 돌을 이고 와 많더라 / 山戴石來多 라는 구절을 그는 얻고, 자기 나름대로 고금(古今)에 으뜸이라고 생각했다. 그러나 당(唐) 나라의 이빈(李頻)은 벌써, 들이 하늘을 머금어 가 다하고 / 野銜天去盡 산이 한수를 끼고 와 깊더라 / 山夾漢來深 라는 시구를 지은 것이 있다. |

| Yang Saŏn wrote the following striking verse (kyŏnggu), 海銜天去盡山戴石來多 Seas, holding the sky, extend to the end.Mountains, carrying rocks, arrive in scores. He believed it was by far the best in both past and present. But the Tang poet Li Pin had already written, 野銜天去盡山夾漢來深 Fields holding the sky extend to the end.Mountains pressing on the Han River come deep. |
