| 思菴朴政丞。少時宿白雲洞曺俊龍草堂詩曰。醉睡仙家覺後疑。白雲平壑月沈時。翛然獨出脩林外。石逕笻聲宿鳥知。人謂宿鳥知先生。此鄭鷓鴣趙倚樓之比也。僕遊伽倻山亦效嚬云。世事虹橋外。笻聲鶴夢中。所謂不自量者也。 |

| 사암(思菴) 박 정승(朴政丞)이 젊었을 때 승방(僧房)에 자면서 시를 짓기를,
취하여 산가에 자고 깨어보매 의심되니 / 醉睡山家覺後疑 백운이 골에 가득하고 달이 잠길 때로다 / 白雲平壑月沈時 소연히 홀로 걸어 숲 밖으로 나와보니 / 翛然獨出脩林外 돌길에 지팡이 소리 자는 새가 아는구나 / 石逕笻聲宿鳥知 하였다. 당시 사람들이 숙조지(宿鳥知) 선생이라 하였다. 이것은 정곡(鄭谷)의 자고시(鷓鴣詩)와 조하(趙嘏)의 의루시(倚樓詩)와 같은 따위다. 박상국(朴相國)의 시는 이백(李白)에게서 나왔는데, 청신(淸新)하고 뛰어나 세상에 전하는 것이 매우 많다. 내가 가야산(伽倻山)에 노닐면서 그 찌푸림을 본떠서[効顰] 지어보았다. 세상 일은 홍교 밖이요 / 世事紅橋外 지팡이 소리는 학의 꿈속이로다 / 笻聲鶴夢中 이것은 이른바 제 능력을 헤아리지 못한 것이다. |

| 1. When Minister Pak Sun (sobriquet Saam [Thoughtful Studio]) was young, he composed a poem on staying overnight at Cho Chunyong’s 曹俊龍 (chinsa 1546) thatched hut in Paegundong. It reads, 醉睡仙家覺後疑白雲平壑月沈時修然獨出修林外石徑筇聲宿鳥知 From a drunken slumber at an immortal’s house, I awaken in bewilderment. Over the white clouds and an open ravine,the moon is setting. Collecting myself, I depart alone, into a place beyond the distant woods.The sound of my bamboo staff on a rocky trail, the sleeping birds would know.People called him “A Mister that Sleeping Birds Would Know,” comparing him to “Partridge Zheng” and “Zhao, The Tower Leaner.” When I visited Kaya Mountain, I attempted a feeble imitation of the poem, writing, 世事虹橋外筇聲鶴夢中 Worldly affairs lie beyond the rainbow bridge.The sound of my bamboo staff echoes in the cranes’ dreams.This is so-called a case of overestimating one’s own caliber. |
