| 昔有一婦人。扶餘懷古詩。白馬臺空經幾歲。落花岩立過多時。靑山若不曾緘默。千古興亡問可知。或云於宇同之所作也。同乃淫婦而能詩如此。所謂有才無行者此也。 |

| 옛날 한 부인의 ‘부여회고시(扶餘懷古詩)’는 다음과 같다.
백마대 빈 지 몇 해가 지났는고 / 白馬臺空經幾歲 낙화암은 선채로 많은 세월 지났네 / 落花巖立過多時 청산이 만약 침묵하지 않았다면 / 靑山若不曾緘黙 천고의 흥망을 물어서 알 수 있으련만 / 千古興亡問可知 어떤 사람은 어우동(於宇同)이 지은 것이라 한다. 음부(淫婦)이면서 이와 같이 시에 능하니, 이른바 재주는 있고 행실이 없는 사람이란 바로 이것이다. |

Long ago, a woman wrote a poem titled “Meditating on the Past Affairs of Puyŏ” 扶餘懷古, 白馬臺空經幾歲落花岩立過多時靑山若不曾緘默千古興亡問可知 Since the desertion of White Horse Terrace,how many years have passed?The Fallen Flowers Rock has been standingfor how many ages?Had the green mountains not been silent,the rise and fall of a thousand agesI will ask them and know why.Some attribute the poem to Ŏudong 於宇同 (1430?–1480). She was a licentious woman but possessed great skill in poetry. This is a case of someone having the talent without the deed. |
