Original Text

Kyejoksurvived a great forest fire. Flowering walls encircle the compound.Around the main hall, trees are dense and full. In a quiet night, a spirited melodies arise.Into a clear breeze, the sound of a wooden fish drum permeates.Mundane thoughts and worries have not ceased.Having arrived here, what are you thinking now? Here is where Master Hyeso first opened it up,a famed monastery—just as I had heard. He brought in bamboo gutters to the rocky ravines, and tended the fire and mended the furnace. The bamboo box still contains the land deed, and also the records of pagoda construction.Thieves took everything else, disregarding the sincere contributions of the faithful.
