趙惠號施齋。喜作詩而不工。贈玩易齋詩云。獐逃山裏去。魚在水中沈。鴻雁飛千里。雉三表我心。琴軒謂文悼公金壽寧曰。此詩何如。時適旱。文悼曰。燒施齋集則雨矣。
조혜는 호가 시재로 시 짓기를 좋아했으나 솜씨는 없었다. 완역재 강석덕에게 시를 지어 주었다. "" 금헌 김뉴가 문도공 김수녕에게 이 시가 어떤지 물었다. 마침 가뭄이 심했던 때였다. 김수녕이 말하길, "조혜의 시집을 불사르면 비가 올 것이다"라 하였다.
Cho Hye’s 趙惠 (d. 1464) sobriquet was Sijae (Kindness Studio). He enjoyed writing poetry despite not being skilled at it. The poem he presented to Kang Sŏktŏk 姜碩德(1395–1459; sobriquet Wanyŏkchae [Playing the Book of Changes Studio]) reads, 獐逃山外去魚在水中沈鴻雁飛千里雉三表我心 The deer ran away into the mountain.The fish are deep under the water.Swan geese fly a thousand li.Three pheasants express my heart. Kim Yu 金紐 (1436–1490; sobriquet Kŭmhŏn [Zither Terrace]) asked Second Minister (ch’amp’an) Kim Sunyŏng 金壽寧 (1436–1473; sobriquet Mundo [Literary Grief]), “What do you think about this poem?” At that time, there was a drought. Kim said, “Burn the Sijae chip施齋集 (Collected Works of Sijae), and then the rain will come.”
