金臺寺面對頭流天王諸峰。如列屏障。極為清絕。甲午夏。與克己同遊。克己作長律。有落日襯霞明鷲嶺。長風吹雨過龍潭之句。甲辰冬余守咸陽。國耳來過。請訪金臺。予攜克己重遊。篝燈啜茶。終宵軟話。酬唱甚多。克己警句。多為時輩傳誦。咏路傍石佛云。長年風雨院邊身。游灑川云。一路青山解送雲。恨未記其全篇。
금대사는 두류산(지리산)을 정면으로 대하여 천왕봉을 위시한 여러 봉우리와 마주하고 있어 마치 병풍을 늘어놓은 것 같이 극히 맑고 아름답다. 갑오년(1474) 여름에 극기 유호인와 함께 유람하였는데, 유호인이 장율을 지었다. 그 중 ""라는 구절이 있었다. 갑진년(1484) 겨울 내가 함양 군수가 되었을 때 국이 박광우가 찾아와서 금대사에 놀러가자고 청했다. 내가 유호인을 데리고 다시 유람하면서 등불을 밝히고 차를 마시며 밤새도록 한담하였는데, 수창한 것이 매우 많았다. 유호인의 경구들은 많이 당시 사람들에게 전송되었는데, '길가의 석불을 읊으며' ""라 하였고, '쇄천을 노닐며'에 ""라 하였다. 그 전편을 기억하지 못하는 것이 한스럽다.
Kŭmdae Monastery faces the Ch’ŏnwang Peaks of Mt. Turyu, which open up like a screen and are extremely beautiful. In the summer of the kabo year (1474), Yu Hoin 劉好仁 (styled Kŭkki; 1502–1584) and I went on an excursion. A long verse Yu composed contains the following phrase, 落日襯霞明鷲嶺長風吹雨過龍潭 Setting sun and rosy clouds light up the Golden Eagle Ridge.A long breeze pushes the rain over the Dragon Pool. In the winter of the kapchin year (1484), when I served as the prefect of Hamyang, Kyŏngsang province, Pak Kwangu 朴光佑 (styled Kugi; 1495–1545) came and requested to visit Kŭmdae Monastery with me. I invited Yu Hoin to accompany us once again. Sitting by a lantern and sipping tea, we spent the whole night having pleasant conversations and exchanging many poems. Many of Yu Hoin’s striking verses (kyŏnggu) were widely recited (chŏnsong) by famous people of our time. His “A Poem on the Stone Buddha by the Road” 詠路傍石佛 reads, 長年風雨院邊身 Through long years of winds and rains, you have stood by the temple. His poem “Outing in Swaech’ŏn” 游灑川 reads, 一路靑山解送雲 Blue mountains all the way, I am escorted by the clouds. I regret that I do not remember the whole poem.
