Once Chief Minister (chaesang) Chŏng T’aehwa was a Superintendent (anch’alsa) in P’yŏngan province, and he wrote the poem “Spring Scrolls” 春帖. Its last line reads, The old man of Kwansŏ is idle with nothing to do. Drunk, leaning on the spring breeze, he examines the pink flowers. It has been said “This poem has inexhaustibly fine (ho) scenery (kisang). The riches and honor the Chief Minister enjoyed for forty years are captured in this couplet.”
