Setting sun and clear river. Feeling elated,I turn around and ask a white seagull. The bird answers, “Pink clouds and a quiet moon.A fisherman’s flute plays a few autumn tunes.” I do not know whose poem this is, but it is truly comical words by a buffoon. Its vulgarity (piri) is laughable. Moreover, how does a white seagull have the ability to exchange poems with a human? Those who scarcely understand poetry all call this a great poem, and some even believe that it is by me. I can only burst my sides with laughter.
