訥齋嘗爲門生所陷。一日其人到門。不見而以詩示之曰。誾誾誤解示謙恭。紬裡潛藏射羿弓。堪笑人心眞九折。裂裳裹足向雲中。彼雖辜負訥齋之責。亦非過歟。

Korean Translation
눌재(訥齋)는 일찍이 문생(門生)에게 모함을 당하였었다. 하루는 그 사람이 문에 찾아왔는데 보지 아니하고 다음과 같은 시를 보여 주었다. 화열한 말을 잘못 겸손하고 공순한 줄로 알았더니 / 誾誾誤解示謙恭 소매 속엔 남몰래 예를 쏘는 활을 감추었었네 / 袖裏潛藏射羿弓 우습기는 인심이 참으로 험악한 것 / 堪笑人心眞九折 바지 찢어 발을 감싸고 구름 속으로 향하려오 / 裂裳裏足向雲中 그가 비록 죄짓고 저버리기는 하였으나 눌재의 꾸지람은 또한 너무 과하지 않은가?

English Translation

Pak Sang was once falsely accused by one of his students. One day, when the student visited his residence, Pak did not see him but instead sent him the following poem, 誾誾誤解示謙恭袖裏潛藏射羿弓堪笑人心眞九折裂裳裹足向雲中 Respectfully speaking fallacy, you show courtesy,while hiding in the sleeve a bow to shoot at the teacher. How laughable is the human heart that is warped nine times!Tearing my clothes and wrapping my feet, I will scurry to the clouds! Although he let Pak down, wasn’t Pak’s reproach also excessive?
