余歷思平生之作。無警絕之句。或以不似者苟充。則五聯。龜潭。水急心無競。山尊氣不驕。馬島七夕。馬州留一月。牛渚會雙星。北京途中。胡兒能習字。漢女亦簪花。沃州途中。雪飛泥野驛。楓落沃川山。雨後。移花根帶土。播麥種交灰。七言送延安守。公廩有驘田是上。孝廚多旨海為濱。少年寡婦挽。床上始治孀後髮。篋中仍殮嫁時衣。春雪。粘蘂不分梅態度。壓荄難遏草精神。上關樓。坡仙水月中秋得。子美乾坤萬古浮。重興寺太古菴。菴名太古嗟今世。寺號重興祝聖王。以上數句。皆夢囈俚唱。不可謂之警句。使具眼者見之。或有一二可取否

English Translation

When I examine the poems composed through lifetime one by one, although there are no startling and exceptional ones, there are some unlikely ones. If I were to list them, there are five-character couplets such as the one in “Kudam” 龜潭, 水急心無競山尊氣不驕 The river hurries on, but its heart is not rushed.The mountain is lofty, yet its air is not proud. Although they cannot be called striking verses (kyŏnggu), I would like to have those with discerning eyes look at them. I wonder if they will accept one or two of these lines.
