Executive of the Chancellery (munha sirang) Im Yuhu’s 任有後 (1601–1673) couplet on the northern frontier reads, People I encounter outside the frontier all have black eyes.Mountains that reach the sky also have white heads. “Black eyes” and “white heads” are a commonly used parallels, but they were incorporated here with refinement, making the poem truly wonderful (myo).
