金冲菴之江南殘夢晝厭厭。愁逐年光日日添。雙燕來時春欲暮。杏花微雨下重簾。可敵鄭知常之。桃花紅雨鳥喃喃遶屋靑山間翠嵐。一頂烏紗慵不整。醉眠花塢夢江南。申企齋之。沙村日暮扣柴扉。夕露瀼瀼欲濕衣。江路火明聞犬吠。小童來報主人歸。可敵崔斯立之。天壽門前柳絮飛。一壺來待故人歸。眼穿落日長亭晚。多少行人近却非。朴思菴之。醉睡仙家覺後疑。白雲平壑月沈時。翛然獨出修竹外。石逕笻音宿鳥知。可敵李陶隱之。山北山南細路分。松花含雨落紛紛。道人汲井歸茅舍。一帶靑烟染白雲。第未知格調高下之如何也
In a fleeting dream of river south, the day goes on and on.My sadness, chasing vernal fragrance, grows day by day.When a pair of swallows arrives, spring would soon end.Apricot blossoms fall in a light rain outside the double screen. rivals Chŏng Chisang’s, 桃花紅雨鳥喃喃繞屋靑山間翠嵐一頂烏紗慵不整醉眠花塢夢江南 Peach blossoms blush after the rain. Flocks of birds fly south. The blue knoll surrounding the lodge is cloaked in jade-green haze. My black official cap is lopsided. I am too lazy to fix it. Drunk, I slumber in a flower bed, dreaming of river south.Sin Kwanghan’s, 沙村日暮扣柴扉夕露微微欲濕衣江路火明聞犬吠小童來報主人歸 As the sun sets in a beach village,I knock on the bramble gate.Evening dew falls gently,wishing to dampen my robe.Along the river road, torches light up,and I hear dogs barking.A little boy comes to reporthis master’s return. rivals Ch’oe Sarip’s, 天壽門前柳絮飛一壺來待故人歸眼穿落日長程晚多少行人近卻非 Outside Ch’ŏnsu Gate, willow catkins fly.With a jug of wine, I come and waitfor my old friend to return.My eyes are fixed on the setting sunas evening descends on the long road.How many have passed by?But up close, they weren’t you. Pak Sun’s, 醉睡仙家覺後疑白雲平壑月沈時修然獨出修林外石徑筇聲宿鳥知 From a drunken slumber at an immortal’s house, I awaken in bewilderment. Over the white clouds and an open ravine,the moon is setting. Collecting myself, I depart alone, into a place beyond the distant woods.The sound of my bamboo staff on a rocky trail, the sleeping birds would know.rivals Yi Sungin’s, 山北山南細路分桃花含雨落紛紛道人汲水歸茅舍一帶靑煙染白雲 Mountains to north and south, a narrow pass divides.Peach blossoms drenched in rain fall one after another.A Daoist hermit draws water and returns to his thatched hut.A strip of blue smoke dyes the white clouds. But I have not figured out whose style (kyŏkcho) is superior.
