(1595–1655) was gifted in poetry. His poem “On a Mission to China” 燕行 said, 日落荊卿水天寒郭隗臺 The sun sets over Jing Qing’s river. The weather is cold at Guo Wei’s terrace. Another poem by him, “To a Friend Bound for the Northern Frontier Pass” 送人北關, 暫留關帝廟仍聽渭城歌日落揚州道君行可奈何 Staying briefly at Guan Yu’s Shrine,I can still hear the song of Wei City. The sun sets on the road of Yangzhou. What will you do on the journey?also has natural charm (p’ungch’i).Original annotation: Among his contemporaries, only Yi Kye 李烓 (1603–1642) could somewhat equal him.
