李參判子野嘗赴京。有書狀官適遊街市。見美人在紗窓裡刺繡。書狀目注不轉。美人開窓。以水揮之。衣盡濕。參判聞而作詩曰。河水橋邊柳絮飛。酷探春色却忘歸。多情忽有窓間雨。飛洒分司御史衣。其後再赴京師。行至通州。無疾暴卒。人皆昔之。

Korean Translation
참판 이자야(李子野)가 일찍이 명경(明京)에 갔을 때, 어떤 서장관(書狀官)이 마침 시가(市街)에 나갔다가 사창(紗窓) 속에서, 미인이 수를 놓고 있는 것을 보고 서장관이 눈을 떼지 못했더니, 미인이 창문을 열고 물을 뿌려서 옷이 모두 젖었다. 참판이 이 소문을 듣고 시를 짓기를, 하수의 다리 가에 버들개지 나는데 / 何水橋頭柳絮飛 춘색을 몹시 탐하다가 돌아가기를 잊었도다 / 酷探春色却忘歸 다정하도다 창 사이에서 홀연히 비가 내리니 / 多情忽有窓間雨 날려 분사의 어사 옷에 뿌리도다 / 飛酒分司御史衣 하였다. 그뒤에 다시 명경에 갈 때에 통주(通州)에 이르러서 앓지도 않다가 갑자기 죽어, 사람들이 모두 애석히 여겼다.

English Translation

Yi Pin 李份 (15th century; styled Chaya), Second Minister of Personnel (ch’amp’an), traveled to the Capital. A Literary Secretary (sŏjanggwan) in his entourage was wandering in the marketplace and saw a beautiful woman behind a veiled window, engrossed in embroidery. His eyes were fixated on her. The woman then opened the window and splashed water on him, completely soaking his clothes. Upon hearing of this incident, Yi composed a poem, 河水橋邊柳絮飛酷探春色却忘歸多情忽有窓間雨飛洒分司御史衣 By the river bridge, willow catkins waft. Infatuated and in search of spring love, you forgot to return.Upon your abounding affection, a rain showered from the window.It flew down and soaked the imperial censor’s robe.Later, Yi traveled again on a diplomatic mission to the Capital. However, when he reached Tongzhou, he died from an unknown cause. All were saddened by the loss.
