徐先生甄當革命之時。以掌令致仕。遯居矜川。每念麗朝之事。慷慨作詩云。千載神都隔渺茫。忠良濟濟佐明王。通三爲一功安在。却恨前朝業不長。

Korean Translation
서견(徐甄) 선생은 혁명 때에 장령(掌令)의 벼슬 자리를 사직하고 금천(衿川) 향곡(鄕曲)으로 내려가서 숨어 살았으나 항상 고려 때의 일을 생각하고 강개(慷慨)하여 시를 지었는데, 천년 신도(神都)는 아득하게 막혔구나 / 千載神都隔渺茫 수 많은 충신 양장들 명왕을 돕더니 / 忠良濟濟佐明王 삼국 통일의 공업은 지금 어디메뇨 / 統三爲一功安在 길지 못한 전조의 왕업이 오히려 한스럽구나 / 却恨前朝業不長 하였다.

English Translation

During the time of dynastic overturn, Sŏ Kyŏn 徐甄 (ca. 1391) retired from his position as the Third Inspector (changnyŏng) and lived in seclusion in the countryside of Kŭngch’ŏn. He always thought about the affairs of the Koryŏ court and expressed his feelings in a vehement poem, 千載神都隔渺茫忠良濟濟佐明王統三爲一功安在却恨前朝業不長 The thousand-year divine capital is separated by vast expanses.Many loyal and virtuous ministersaided the enlightened king. Where is the achievement of unifying the Three Kingdoms? I lament how past dynasties’ achievements cannot last.
