黃芝川廷彧。深於文章。其詩句曰。平生謾說歸田好。半世猶歌行路難。意甚激烈
지천(芝川) 황정욱(黃廷彧)은 문장에 깊은 조예가 있었다. 그의 시구 가운데, 평생토록 귀거래(歸去來)를 노래삼아 불렀는데 / 平生漫說歸田好 반 세상 지나도록 벼슬 길에 매어 있네 / 半世猶歌行路難 이라는 것이 있는데, 그 뜻이 매우 격렬하다.
Hwang Chŏnguk 黃廷彧 (1532–1607; sobriquet Chich’ŏn [Sweetgrass River]) was deeply into literature. A verse in his poem reads, 平生漫說歸田好半世猶歌行路難 My whole life, I told myself it is good to resign and go home. Half a lifetime has passed, yet I still sing “The Difficult Journey.”The meaning (ŭi) is very intense (kyŏngnyŏl).
