松江登磨天元帥臺。命州人進酒。行一杯。以盡告。遂口占一絶曰。千仞崗頭一杯酒。朔雲飛盡海茫茫。元戎奏捷知何日。老去逢春欲發狂。

Korean Translation
송강이 돌아올 때 마천령(磨天嶺) 원수대(元帥臺)에 올라, 이 고을 사람에게 술을 가져오도록 명하고, 한 순배 돌아가 괴로움이 사라지자, 마침내 한 절구를 즉석에서 짓고 부르기를, 천 길 산머리에서 한 잔 술 마시니 / 千仞江頭一杯酒 북쪽 구름은 다 날아가고 펀펀한 바다만이 넓기만 하도다 / 朔雲飛盡海茫茫 대장이 승전을 보고함은 어느 때쯤 되겠는지 / 元戎奏捷知何日 늙어가는 몸이 봄을 만나니 발광이라도 하고 싶네 / 老去逢春欲發狂 하였다.

English Translation

hŏng Ch’ŏl visited the Wŏnsu Platform in the Mach’ŏn Mountain Ridge and ordered a local person to serve wine. After having a cup of wine, he stopped talking. Then he spontaneously composed the following quatrain, 千仞崗頭一杯酒朔雲飛盡海茫茫元戎奏捷知何日老去逢春欲發狂 On the summit a thousand-feet tall,I raise a cup of wine.North clouds have cleared away and the sea is far and wide.For the supreme commander to declare victory,what day will that be?Getting old, when spring comes,I wish to go wild.
