While at Obong Monastery, Master Yang Saŏn wrote the following verse, A fish gobbles up a monk’s bowl of alms.A turtle passes by a crane’s nest in the clouds. It is very refined (kong). Pines so lofty are suitable for cranes to take lodge.Pools so dark are perfect for dragons to hide. It can be called an exquisite (ki) expression.
