金仲和昌協。號農岩。挽林學士泳警句云。故宅梅殘觀易處。春江水㬉浴沂時。天涯目極靑靑草。啼送丹㫌有子規。其弟昌翕。號三淵。亦能詩。甞贈金剛僧。象外淸遊更未能。夢中皆骨玉靑靑。秋來萬二千峯月。應照孤僧禮佛燈。為世膾炙云
A striking verse (kyŏnggu) in his “Eulogy to Academician Im Yŏng” 挽林學士泳by Kim Ch’anghyŏp reads, 故宅梅殘觀易處春江水暖浴沂時天涯目極靑靑草啼送丹旌有子規 Plum trees wither in his old abodewhere we read the Yijing.The water is warm in the spring river.It’s time to bathe in the Yi River.My eyes reach the horizonwhere the grass is green so green.To see off the vermilion banner with tears,there is a cuckoo. His brother Kim Ch’anghŭp 金昌翕 (1653–1722; sobriquet Samyŏn [Three Abysses]) was also gifted in poetry. He once presented the following poem to a monk from the Diamond Mountains, 象外淸游更未能夢中皆骨玉靑靑秋來萬二千峰月應照孤僧禮佛燈 Carefree roaming beyond the realm of Imageis still unreachable.In dreams, All Bones Mountains are jades, green so green. When autumn comes over twelve thousand peaks, the moonmust shine on a monk worshipping by the Buddha’s lamps. The poem was relished (hoeja) by many for a time.
