柳思庵淑碧瀾渡詩曰。久負江湖約。紅塵二十年。白鷗如欲笑。故故近樓前。思庵竟未免紅塵之厄。其忠淸大節。終不見白於大名之下。爲賊旽所誣陷。黯黯就戮。哀哉。余年三十六。過碧瀾渡步韻曰。未識靑雲路。江湖四十年。思庵終賊手。余在白鷗前。乃翻思庵案也。
사암(思菴) 유숙(柳淑)의 벽란도(碧瀾渡) 시에 이르기를, 오랜 강호의 기약을 저버리고 / 久負江湖約 홍진에 묻혀 20년이로다 / 紅塵二十年 백구는 반겨서 웃고자 하여 / 白鷗如欲笑 짐짓 누 앞에 다가오는 듯하도다 / 故故近樓前 하였다. 사암은 결국 속세에서의 화[厄]를 면치 못하고, 그 충성과 청렴한 큰 절개가 끝내 대의명분 아래 밝혀지지 못한 채 간사한 도적 신돈(辛旽)의 모함으로 말미암아 남모르게 피살되었으니, 아, 슬프도다. 내 나이 36세에 벽란도를 지나가면서 한 수 짓기를, 얼마 안 되는 벼슬길이요 / 未幾靑雲路 강호에서 40년이로다 / 江湖四十年 사암은 도적의 손에 없어지고 / 思菴終賊手 나는 지금 백구 앞에 서 있도다 / 余在白鷗前 하였는데, 이것은 사암의 시를 번안(飜案)한 것이다.
Yu Suk’s柳淑 (sobriquet Saam [Thoughtful Hut]; 1324–1368) poem “Pyŏngnan Ferry” 碧瀾渡 reads, 久負江湖約紅塵二十年白鷗如欲笑故故近樓前 Long ago I pledged for rivers and lakes,but spent twenty years in the dusty realm. White gulls seem to be laughing at me.Ko ko, they squawk near the tower. Ultimately, Yu was unable to escape the misfortunes of the mortal world. In the end, before his loyalty, uprightness, and integrity could be recognized, he was falsely accused by the traitor Sin Ton and secretly assassinated. Ah, what misery! When I was thirty-six, while passing Pyŏngnan Ferry, I wrote the following poem using his rhymes, 未議靑雲路江湖四十年思菴終賊手余在白鷗前 Not having chosen the path of the azure cloud,I have lived in rivers and lakes for forty years. You died at the hands of a traitor,I now stand before white gulls.The poem reverses Yi’s original poem.
