何事穿雲去不歸。 海燕不曾資一粒。 年年還傍畵樑飛。 |

| 여름엔 서늘하게 겨울엔 따듯하게 깨끗하고 살찌게 길렀는데,
무슨 일로 구름을 뚫고 날아가 돌아오지 않는가. 바다제비는 일찍이 낟알 한톨 주지 않았는데, 해마다 곁에 돌아와서 대들보 위를 날아다닌다. |

| I kept you cool in the heat, warm in the cold, and nourished you with delicacies.
Why then did you pierce through the clouds and left me, never to return? To the swallows never did I feed a single grain of rice, yet year after year they return and fly around my painted beams. |
