| 昔歲。余在隱若。守申夜。有詩結句曰。任爾三彭饒赤舌。此心元自有天知。今日。偶觀唐萬首絶句。程紫霄詩曰。玉京已自知行止。任汝三彭說是非。詩人暗合往往有如是者。恐觀者謂余詩似此語。謾爲志之 |

| 왕년에 내가 곤궁한 처지에서 근신하고 있을 때, 경신일(庚申日) 밤을 지새우면서 시를 지었는데, 그 결구(結句)에,
삼팽 이 놈 붉은 혓바닥 마음대로 놀려 봐라 / 任爾三彭饒赤舌 이 마음 하느님이 원래 알고 계시니라 / 此心元自有天知 라고 하였다. 그런데 오늘 우연히 당(唐) 나라의 《만수절구(萬首絶句)》를 보니, 정자소(程紫霄)의 시에, 옥황께서 나의 품행 이미 알고 계시느니 / 玉皇已自知行知 삼팽 이 놈 네 멋대로 고자질 해 보아라 / 任汝三彭說是非 라고 하였다. 시인의 뜻이 이처럼 우연히 계합(契合)되는 경우가 이따금씩 나오는데, 혹시라도 나의 시를 보고서 그의 표현을 빌려 썼다고 할지도 모르겠기에 부질없이 기록해 둔다. |

| In the past, when I was destitute, on the day of kyŏngsin I stayed up all night to work on a poem. I wrote in a quatrain, 任爾三彭饒赤舌此心元自有天知 No matter what you, Three Pengs, say with your red tongues,what is in my heartHeaven already knows. Today when I was reading the Tang ren wan shou jueju xuan唐人萬首絶句選 (A Selection of Ten Thousand Quatrains by Tang Poets), I saw a poem by Cheng Zixiao 程紫霄 (10th century) which said, 玉皇已自知行止任汝三彭說是非 The Jade Emperor already knows my conductno matter what lies you Three Pengs say.Poets’ unintended coincidence (amhap) sometimes happens like this. Fearing that someone might say I borrowed his expression, I record this in vain. |
